Project overview
Steel Element OÜ designed, fabricated and delivered the complete structural steel frame for the new Lidl retail store at Raadiku 11, Tallinn, Estonia. The project involved 75 tonnes of structural steel, fully compliant with EN 1090 Execution Class EXC2 requirements.
Scope of work
Our scope covered the full structural steel frame fabrication, surface treatment, and delivery to site. A complete EN 1090 EXC2 documentation package was supplied, including material certificates, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and quality control records.
Surface treatment included:
- Shot blasting to Sa 2.5
- Epoxy primer coat for corrosion protection (category C3)
- Fire protection coating applied in accordance with fire resistance class R60
- Final topcoat in specified RAL colour
Technical details
The frame consists of primary and secondary structural members in S355 structural steel grade. All welding was performed by certified welders in accordance with EN ISO 3834-2. The fire protection system was designed and applied to achieve a minimum 60-minute fire resistance rating (R60), meeting the requirements of the building’s fire safety design.
